| Description | Hi YK, We found that when doing OTA update from ATV10 to ATV12. We need to remove a piece of code added by sptek in order to update normally. When starting an OTA update, Sptek will delete the /cache/recovery/command file, which will cause the update to stop in recovery mode. Currently ATV10 to ATV12 needs to enter the recovery mode twice to complete the OTA update. But when entering recovery mode for the second time, the OTA update fails because the /cache/recovery/command file is missing. At the same time, we also tried to remove the sptek's code, and the result was good. Please confirm updated behavior with sptek Jerry | ||||

HI Jason SPTEK says other manufacturers only enter revocery mode once when upgrading from ATV10 to ATV12. first, when upgrading the OS(ATV10 to ATV12), please check why it enters revovery mode twice. Below is the method used by SPTEK, but I think it will be the same as your method. - push update.zip to /cache - write command file in /cache/recovery/command echo "--update_package=/cache/update.zip" > /cache/recovery/command - reboot recovery Thank you!! Hi Jason SPTEK informed to me incorrect information. Inopia says it's right to enter recovery mode twice for an OS upgrade. and INNOPIA has been successfully upgraded to OS. We need debugging on this issue. The print message is not automatically outputting console at recovery mode Which code should I modify to automatically print to the console at recovery mode? Hi YK, 1. The kernel console message is currently closed, and about the recovery log, it should be stored in /cache/recovery 2. I will look again to see if there is another way to do it Jerry |

Hi Jerry , Jason In case of INTEK, recovery mode is executed once when upgrading from current ATV10 to ATV12. Because it is the same partition table, INTEK modified it to enter recovery mode only once. Please review this method. Is this a more comfortable way or a more stable way? Thank you!! YK.Jung |

Hi YK, I have tried to doing an OTA update once in recovery mode. Our BFX-AT100 device seems to fail to update because of different partitions. ATV10 does not support odm_ext partition. So the update will fail. Jerry |
